  • I think my gas furnace is leaking. What should I do?
If you smell a strong gas odor like a rotten egg smell or your carbon monoxide alarm has suddenly gone off, the first thing that you should do is to get out of your home or commercial space immediately. You would also want to vacate anyone in the building as gas leaks can become very dangerous. Move to a safe distance and call 911 or your local gas company to report the leak. You may also call our team at (703) 755-0680 to help with any gas line repairs or if you need to connect a new gas line. Our technicians are licensed Master Gasfitters so you can have the peace of mind knowing that we provide safe, efficient gas line services.
  • Are there any special offers I should know about?
Our family-owned and operated company provides free estimates on all our services and discounts on complete HVAC system installations. We also have a flat-rate pricing that never changes even if the service took longer than expected. Additionally, veterans, military personnel, and senior citizens are eligible for discounts.
  • What can I do to maintain my air conditioner or heater?

There are many things that you can do on your own to keep your air conditioning or heating system efficient, including:

    • Checking and changing the system’s air filter every three months or as needed
    • Keeping the outside and indoor units clean and free of any debris
    • Setting the thermostat at a slightly higher or lower temperature when no one’s at home

While these tips are helpful, your heating and cooling systems also need comprehensive maintenance once a year so they can be prepared for the months when they’ll be more in demand. Cardinal Heating & Cooling has maintenance agreements available to help you stay on top of your annual maintenance. Sign up today to receive thorough inspections and tune-ups of your systems annually plus other benefits.

  • Do you have financing options available?
Cardinal Heating & Cooling knows that getting a new system is a huge investment. If you’re worried about your budget, we can help. Our company has teamed up with Wells Fargo to help you get the comfort system you need today while you pay overtime, subject to approved credit.
  • Is there a way for me to know if my AC or heater is about to break down?

While heating and cooling system failures usually catch us by surprise, there are actually some telltale signs that you can look out for to determine if you need repairs.

    These signs include:

    • Loud, strange sounds when the system is operating
    • Burnt, musty, or other strange odors when the system is running
    • Poor airflow
    • Inability to heat or cool the space evenly
    • A sudden rise in energy bills

Don’t wait until your heater or AC has stopped working altogether. Get in touch with a professional tech from Cardinal Heating & Cooling right away.

  • How do I choose a new AC or heater?
Getting a new AC or heater is an exciting time. However, you’ll soon find out that you have a myriad of options, making the decision a bit harder for you. Whether you’re getting a system for a newly constructed home or replacing an old, inefficient one, our expert team can help you narrow down your choices. We take into consideration several factors when finding the right air conditioning or heating system for your property including your specific comfort needs and budget. We also consider if you have the time to construct a duct system or not. Rest assured that your system will be the right size for your home, energy-efficient, and correctly installed.
  • What brands do you service?
Our heating and cooling technicians are professionally trained to service almost all system makes and models with the exception of oil furnaces and oil boilers. If you need a new system, however, we carry only the most trusted and reputable brands on the market such as Trane, Mitsubishi, Carrier, American Standard, Lennox, Rheem, Bryant, York, and Goodman.

“It's good to have a service one can trust for a system as important as an HVAC unit.” - Kathy B.
